Official Visit of the Delagations of the International University for the Humanities and Development to London

In the framework of the official visit the delegation of the International University for the Humanities and Development arrived at the premises of the University of Westminster on Regent Street in London. There, the delegation was welcomed by Josef Kute-Cowling, a specialist in the Department of International Cooperation of the University of Westminster, and introduced the academic buildings, research centers, sports facilities and work of the University of Westminster. Then the meeting began with Professor Nitasha Kaul, Director of the Center for the Study of Democracy, University of Westminster. During the meeting, Professor Nitasha Kaul expressed her pleasure at the invitation to the delegation of IUHD and spoke about the work of the Center for the Study of Democracy, University of Westminster. Then, the Rector of the the International University for the Humanities and Development, M.Kuliyeva, expressed her best wishes and gratitude for the warm welcome at the university and spoke about the work and achievements of the university. Then, A.Chariyev, a lecturer at the Department of International Relations of IUHD, spoke about the university’s international cooperation and work with foreign partner universities. Then, G. Seyilbayeva, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Management provided information about the university's ongoing scientific work and the work of the master's program.

Professor Nitasha Kaul, Director of the Center for the Study of Democracy at the University of Westminster, highly appreciated the work of the International University for the Humanities and Development and proposed to jointly hold seminars and online classes on the Permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan, the Sustainable Development Goals, and new methodologies in teaching to further strengthen cooperation.

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to take appropriate measures through diplomatic channels to establish mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation.

Then, the delegation of the International University for the Humanities and Development visited the building complex of the University of Westminster on Marylebone Street in London. There, the delegation was welcomed by Josef Kute-Cowling, a specialist in the Department of International Cooperation at the University of Westminster, and Anastasia Bezborodova, a professor at the University of Westminster, and was introduced to the educational, scientific and industrial work carried out in this building complex. The library and laboratories equipped with technology at the University of Westminster were also shown.

After that, a meeting with Professor Karen Jackson, Deputy Director of the Silk Road and Uzbek Studies Forum at the University of Westminster, began. During the meeting, Professor Karen Jackson presented the work of the Silk Road and Uzbek Studies Forum and its cooperation with higher education institutions in Central Asia. Then, the rector of International University for the Humanities and Development M.Kuliyeva spoke about the work and achievements of the university. A.Chariyev, a lecturer at the Department of International Relations, spoke about the university’s international cooperation and work with foreign partner universities. G.Seyilbayeva, a senior lecturer at the Department of Management of IUHD, gave information about the university’s scientific work and the work of the master’s program. Professor Karen Jackson noted that such visits are a great step in strengthening relations between the parties and invited students of IUHD to participate in short-term studies. He noted that during the studies, students have the opportunity to organize study tours to the United Nations International Maritime Organization in London, Great Britain, the world’s leading financial company Bloomberg, and the editorial office of the leading newspaper “Financial Times”, which publishes news on business, finance and economics. He also suggested conducting online training courses on international trade, management and accession to the World Trade Organization for students of the Master’s Program in Business Administration at the International University for the Humanities and Development.

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to take appropriate measures through diplomatic channels to establish mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation.
