The British Ambassador to Turkmenistan, Stephen Conlon, and the UNICEF Representative in Turkmenistan, Jalpa Ratna, visited Pilot Inclusive School No. 74 in Ashgabat.
The guests familiarized themselves with the implementation of inclusive education. They held meetings with the school administration and representatives of the Ministry of Education to discuss the progress achieved and the challenges in promoting inclusive education. The British Ambassador and the UNICEF Representative also visited classrooms where teaching is conducted.
This visit was conducted as part of the project “Accessible and Inclusive Schools for Children with Disabilities in Turkmenistan,” funded by the UK Government’s International Development Agency (UK International Development).
The project emphasizes the importance of ensuring coordination among teachers, families, and partners from various sectors in the creation of inclusive schools.
