Turkmenistan to celebrate World Health Day with sports events

On March 20, Batyr Mammedov, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, reported at a government meeting on preparations for competitions and wellness activities in connection with World Health Day.
As reported, mass cycling rides and various other events will be organized. In addition, scientific-practical conferences, educational, physical culture and sports, wellness, and cultural activities are planned to take place in the provinces, as well as in Ashgabat and Arkadag, during the period from April 1 to 7.
After reviewing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of World Health Day for actively promoting healthy lifestyle practices in society and developing sports. In this regard, the head of state instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to ensure proper preparation for holding sports, wellness events, and mass cycling rides at a high standard on the occasion of World Health Day.
It is also noted that by a separate decree, the head of state appointed Begli Bayrammyradovich Atayev as Rector of the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction.
