In the the era of “Revival of a New Era of a Powerful State” under the wise leadership of the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Hero Arkadag, and esteemed President, Arkadagly Hero Serdar, the year under the motto “Independent Neutral Turkmenistan – the Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses” has been marked by international achievements from the very beginning. It is worth noting that a number of these international achievements were in the field of education. Today, March 24, the opening ceremony of the VI Open International Mathematical Olympiad was held at the International University for the Humanities and Development.

Guests were greeted warmly and hospitably at the entrance to the university. An exhibition showcasing the vast potential of the digital system attracted the attention of the guests. A short video about the history of Turkmenistan and the Open International Mathematical Olympiad among higher education institutions, which has been held at the International University for the Humanities and Development for five years, beginning in 2021, was shown on a screen in the university lobby. This made an unforgettable impression on everyone.

Then, the guests gathered in the spacious conference hall of the university. Musical performances were demonstrated there to mark the opening of the 6th Open International Mathematical Olympiad. Each university was represented separately during the ceremony.

Following the opening ceremony, the individual version of the International Olympiad began. Young mathematicians solved complex mathematical problems and equations individually in the auditoriums of the International University for the Humanities and Development, where all the necessary conditions were provided.

University students from many countries participated in this competition, including the Russian Federation, the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Greek Republic, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Federal Republic of Germany, the Republic of Hungary, the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the Republic of Tajikistan, and the United Arab Emirates. For information, more than 200 students from abroad, as well as students from all higher education institutions in our country, have registered as participants. These young talents will compete in individual and team competitions at the VI Open International Mathematical Olympiad, which will attract over 500 participants. The competition will be divided into categories A and B. Category A will include students studying mathematics and computer science, while Category B will include students studying other specialties.

According to the competition regulations, the jury will include professors and teachers from higher education institutions in our country and from participating countries. As part of the Olympiad, it is planned to organize excursions for guests visiting our capital to the Magtymguly Pyragy Cultural and Park Complex, the State Museum of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan, as well as to the capital's shopping and entertainment centers, such as Ashgabat, Arkach, Berkarar, and Gulzemin. At this international competition, guests will not only be able to see our country's achievements in the education system but also take a journey into the ancient history of our people, the world of culture and art. Modern entertainment centers, as well as our country's achievements, will remain forever etched in their memories. All this will further enhance the international prestige of our country, as well as the attention paid to our beloved homeland globally. These reforms are based on the tireless efforts of Hero Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar to train young and talented specialists who will bring glory to our beloved homeland.
