In Turkmenistan, within the framework of the Era of the Revival of the new epoch of a powerful state, special attention is given to the development of the education system and the improvement of foreign language teaching. The expansion of international cooperation in economic, political, and cultural fields, along with the successful implementation of academic exchange programs, creates broad opportunities for modernizing language education.
In this context, the training of specialists capable of effectively using foreign languages in their professional activities is of particular importance. Emphasis is placed on developing skills in business communication, correspondence, and participation in international cooperation.
In this regard, a textbook entitled “Russian for Specific Purposes” (author: T.Babaeva – Ashgabat: Turkmen State Publishing Service, 2026) has been published for higher educational institutions. The textbook is intended for students of non-language specialties, including those studying International Economic Relations. Designed for 136 academic hours, it focuses on developing professional communication skills such as business correspondence, document preparation, negotiations, and presentations. The publication also includes texts and exercises for independent study.
