During the years of independence, Turkmenistan has established extensive and mutually beneficial cooperation with foreign countries in the fields of science and education. This has created favourable conditions for the development of joint scientific research and the strengthening of collaboration between specialists and scholars from different countries.
In the context of modern international relations, particularly in the legal field, a high level of foreign language proficiency is essential. English and Russian play a key role as tools of professional communication, facilitating effective interaction among specialists and institutions worldwide.
In this regard, a new textbook entitled “English for International Lawyers” (authors: M. Orazova and A. Owezova – Ashgabat: Turkmen State Publishing Service, 2026) has been published for higher educational institutions. The textbook is intended for students specializing in law, international law, and international relations. It consists of 12 units and covers a wide range of topics, including the legal systems of Turkmenistan, the United Kingdom, and the United States, as well as issues of international legal cooperation.
