Student youth of the Agricultural University showed activity in the tree planting ceremony

On March 21, 2026, a nationwide tree-planting ceremony was held in our country with great enthusiasm, with the participation of Honorable President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. The spring tree-planting season of the year «Independent neutral Turkmenistan − the homeland of purposeful winged horses» was officially launched, and a large-scale environmental event unfolded in the southern part of the capital. The faculty and students of the Turkmen Agricultural University named after S.A. Niyazov also took an active part in this noble event, inspired by the head of state’s blessing as he planted a tree sapling.

In the Era of the Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State, in order to turn Turkmenistan into a blooming garden and further enrich its nature, a total of 3 million saplings are planned to be planted in 2026 based on a special Decree. According to the document, ministries, sectoral departments, and the hyakimliks of Ashgabat and Arkadag cities will ensure the planting of 1.5 million saplings, while the hyakimliks of the provinces will provide for another 1.5 million saplings of deciduous, coniferous, fruit trees, and grapes.

Within the framework of this state-significant program, special attention is paid to the drip irrigation of planted saplings and scientific-based care. The Ministry of Environmental Protection has been instructed to provide all institutions and enterprises with a sufficient amount of three-year-old tree saplings and grape cuttings, as well as to conduct regular monitoring of their planting and further cultivation. These large-scale efforts are aimed at further improving the environmental well-being of our Motherland.
