A NEW TEXTBOOK FOR HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS PUBLISHED

Educating the younger generation as highly qualified professionals, inspired by the Renaissance of the new era of a sovereign state, remains one of the country’s key priorities. As part of ongoing reforms in the national education system, the respected President and the National Leader of the Turkmen people are creating broad opportunities to strengthen the capacity of higher education institutions.

Recently, a new textbook titled “Lighting Technology” for higher education institutions was published (author: J. Rejepov – Ashgabat: State Publishing Service of Turkmenistan, 2026). The book provides a comprehensive overview of the fundamentals of light, as well as the types and structures of lighting equipment used in cinema, television, circus and theatre stages, amphitheaters, and large-scale cultural events. It also covers control systems and auxiliary equipment.

The main goal of the textbook is to familiarize cinematographers, television operators, and lighting designers with modern lighting technologies and their practical applications.
