The final round of the Ecology Competition was held at the Agricultural University

Organized by the S.A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University, the second and final round of the Ecology competition among secondary school students of the country was successfully conducted. The round was attended by 40 of the most talented students selected from the provinces, as well as the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag. It is worth noting that the first stage of the competition took place on March 4 via a digital system, with more than 200 students participating nationwide.

During the final stage, students presented original scientific projects aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The projects mainly covered crucial areas such as zero hunger, food security, access to clean water and sanitation, energy efficiency, and climate action. Furthermore, the youth presented innovative perspectives and scientific solutions for the conservation of terrestrial and marine ecosystems, rational forest management, and combating desertification.

The jury members highly praised the students' work. The main criteria for evaluation were the relevance of the projects, scientific substantiation, data accuracy, and the potential for implementation into production. As part of the competition, introductory tours were organized for the students to the university's Museum of Zoology, the sewing workshop, and the "John Deere" training center.

The ceremony concluded with the awarding of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd degree diplomas and commemorative gifts to the winners. This event, coinciding with the educational reforms celebrated in the year of "Independent, Permanently Neutral Turkmenistan — Land of Prosperity with the Might of a Steed," served as clear evidence of the growing cooperation between higher education institutions and secondary schools.
