From March 10th to 15th, 2026, the Kickboxing World Cup was held in Jesolo, Italy. This international sporting event brought together athletes from around the world.
Students from our university also actively participated in the prestigious competition and achieved excellent results. Specifically, Narzulla Bazarov, a third-year student in the Faculty of Sports, competed in the low kick category in the 75 kg weight class and won first place and a gold medal.
Furthermore, Eziz Meredov, a fourth-year student in the Faculty of Physical Education, took second place in the low kick category in the 51 kg weight class and won a silver medal. Our second-year student, Mekan Murrikov, also took third place in the 54 kg weight class and won a bronze medal.
These achievements demonstrate the high level of preparation, determination, and passion for sport of our student-athletes. These victories also significantly contribute to enhancing our country's sporting reputation internationally.
