On April 3, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Batyr Mammedov reported at a government meeting on the results of activities of the subordinate structures for January–March of the current year, according to the online newspaper “Turkmenistan: Golden age.”
It was noted that during the reporting period, work was carried out to foster well-rounded individuals and to modernize educational activities. Comprehensive measures were also taken to enhance the country’s scientific potential, increase the practical effectiveness of research activities, and introduce innovative developments into sectors of the economy.
In the first quarter of the current year, healthcare institutions continued applying advanced methods of disease prevention and treatment based on best international practices and innovative technologies. During the period under review, measures were also taken to develop physical culture and sports, as well as international cooperation in this field.
Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of conducting effective work in the areas of science, education, healthcare, and sports. The head of state also instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to consistently improve the healthcare system and to carry out appropriate measures to promote a healthy lifestyle among young people.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov also signed decrees appointing Arslan Gurbannazarov as Rector of the Turkmen State Institute of Finance, Bayram Tangryberdiyev as Rector of the Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management, and relieving Aknabat Atabayeva of her duties as Rector of the Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management in connection with her transfer to another position.
