Under the leadership of our Esteemed President, initiatives by our Hero Arkadag are yielding positive results in uncovering the creative and innovative abilities of the younger generation. The international startup competition held at the State energy institute of Turkmenistan, with the participation of young professionals and students has become a clear testament to this.
From April 9-10, 2026, a “Startup in the Field of Renewable Energy Sources” competition was held at the State energy institute of Turkmenistan within the framework of the project “European Union for a Green Turkmenistan: Policy Dialogue and Climate Action for 2024-2029”, jointly organized by the Ministry of Energy of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ). Participants in the competition first familiarized themselves with a specially organized scientific project exhibition and then attended the opening ceremony of the event. Young people aged 18 to 30 from various regions of our country, including students and schoolchildren participated and showcased their original scientific projects on the transition to environmentally friendly energy. In the course of the competition, participants generated significant interest in solar and wind energy by presenting the most modern and innovative methods for increasing the efficiency of solar panels and wind turbines. Furthermore, within the scope of the event, particular attention was paid to modern technologies for generating energy from organic waste and the development of the bioenergy sector, with in-depth analysis of the best projects in smart systems and energy-efficient digital technologies. On the final day of the event, a closing ceremony took place where the winners were announced by the jury. At the end of the competition, the participants expressed their praise and gratitude to the National Leader of the Turkmen people Hero Arkadag and our Esteemed President, Arkadagly Hero Serdar, for the vast opportunities created for the youth to engage in science and education, and to implement innovations, as well as for the substantial state support for the ambitious work being carried out on our country’s “green” development path.
