An international scientific and practical conference entitled «Modern Scientific Research in the Field of Historical and Cultural Heritage: Sustainable Development of Peoples and Cultures» was held at Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly, according to the International Information Center of Turkmenistan.
The conference, held digitally, was divided into three sections: «Turkmenistan – UNESCO: The Role of International Cooperation in the Protection of National and World Cultural Heritage», «The Current Development of Cultural and Humanitarian Ties between Peoples», and «Improving the Methodology of Studying and Teaching Historical and Cultural Heritage».
Professors, teachers, and scholars from Turkmenistan, China, Russia, Italy, Republic of Türkiýe, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Namibia, Rwanda, and Tanzania participated in the international conference.
The sectoral discussions featured scientific papers on the principles of positive neutrality, peacefulness, goodwill, and humanism in the study and protection of cultural heritage. In their presentations, international scholars described their work in this area and the challenges ahead in integrating efforts in their countries.
Following the forum, a final document was adopted aimed at strengthening partnerships in joint scientific research and educational programs.
