A meeting was held at the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University with representatives of PETRONAS Carigali (Turkmenistan) Sdn Bhd and the PETRONAS University of Technology

A meeting was held at the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University between the university leadership and representatives of PETRONAS Carigali (Turkmenistan) Sdn Bhd, as well as the PETRONAS University of Technology, to discuss ongoing activities in the fields of science and education. During the meeting, the Rector of the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University introduced the participants to the university’s faculties and departments, academic specialties, training areas, and its achieved accomplishments. It was noted that, under the leadership of the Esteemed President, consistent efforts are being made to improve the science and education system in line with modern requirements, as well as to integrate the latest scientific achievements into the educational process and the scientific activities of the younger generation. It was also emphasized that, in accordance with the instructions of the Esteemed President, the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University is actively developing cooperation with reputable foreign higher education institutions and companies. It was highlighted that online courses on advanced technologies and equipment used in the oil and gas industry are being conducted for students and faculty members of the university, and that students regularly participate in summer industrial internships at the PETRONAS University of Technology in Malaysia

It was noted that the Memorandum of Understanding signed on 13 November 2024 between the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University, PETRONAS Carigali (Turkmenistan) Sdn Bhd, and the PETRONAS University of Technology is already the fourth agreement aimed at continuing mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of science and education.

A staff member of PETRONAS Carigali (Turkmenistan) Sdn Bhd, Head of the Management Department Rukayah Bt Samuddin, noted that the PETRONAS University of Technology enjoys a high reputation among engineering universities in Malaysia and Asia, and expressed gratitude for the mutually beneficial cooperation with the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University. She emphasized interest in developing research activities, proposing to establish cooperation in the implementation of joint scientific projects, the writing of scientific articles, and their publication in internationally indexed scientific journals. The representative also stated that online and in-person classes involving professors from the PETRONAS University of Technology will continue at the university in the fields of oil and gas engineering, geology, chemical technology, and digital systems. At the end of the meeting, the guests expressed their gratitude to the university leadership.
