A youth eco-initiative was held in Ashgabat

A youth event under the slogan «Ecological Well-being — the Beauty of the Earth» was held at an Institute of International Relations of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. The initiative, organized by UNESCO Club «Culture of Peace» in cooperation with a public organization «Young Naturalist», combined theoretical knowledge of environmental protection with practical landscaping activities. This was reported by International Information Center of Turkmenistan.

During the event, it was noted that all necessary conditions are being created in the country for the formation of environmental culture and the harmonious development of the younger generation. After the theoretical part, students moved on to practice: in the format of an eco-quest, they greened the institute’s educational areas, tidied up garden and park plantings, and cleaned the surrounding territory.

Such initiatives help young specialists gain practical understanding of Turkmenistan’s environmental policy and promote a healthy lifestyle. Personal participation in greening their native environment became the best way for students to demonstrate responsibility for preserving the country’s natural wealth. The most active participants of the event were awarded commemorative prizes by the «Young Naturalist» organization.
