On June 2-5, 2026, the final concluding round of the information and communication technology competition organized by Huawei was held in Shenzhen, People's Republic of China. Shirmuhammet Vepayev, chief specialist of the Digital System and Information Security Department of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, Italmazov Arslan, a student of the Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of Turkmenistan, and Hayytmuhammedov Yslam and Orazmammedov Gurban, students of the Yagsygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University, participated in the competition in the Practical competition network tracking direction.
More than 1,180,000 students and mentor teachers from more than 2,000 higher education institutions in more than 100 countries around the world participated in the "Huawei ICT Competition 2025-2026 Global Final". The competition consisted of several stages: the first stage was national, the second stage was regional, and for the 3rd world stage, 500 participants forming 170 teams from more than 40 countries were selected in Shenzhen.
The main objective of the Practical competition network tracking direction of the competition was to comprehensively test the skills of designing, configuring, and ensuring the security of enterprise networks, and the final round included an eight-hour practical test in laboratory conditions, where participants from 25 countries solved complex problems on network routing configuration, optimization, and eliminating architectural troubleshooting in real-time. As a result, Turkmen students won 3rd place in the worldwide "Huawei ICT Competition 2025-2026 Global Final" in the Practical competition network tracking direction.
