New State Program for the development of Turkmenistan's science system approved at the Government meeting

On June 12, a President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov chaired a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers via the digital system. During the meeting, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Batyr Mammedov reported on the measures being implemented to develop and modernize the country's science system. This was reported by the "Turkmenistan: Golden Age" electronic newspaper.

The Vice-Premier first of all, on behalf of the country's scientific community, congratulated the Head of State and the Hero-Arkadag on Science Day, as well as on the election of the Honorable President as an Academician of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan and the conferral of the academic title of Professor upon him.

During the meeting, the draft "State Program for the Promotion of Achievements of Science, Engineering, and Technologies in Turkmenistan for 2026–2030," developed in accordance with the tasks specified in the relevant Strategy, was submitted for the consideration of the Head of State. This document is aimed at enhancing the scientific worldview and intellectual capacities of society, particularly the youth, and actively involving them in scientific and creative activities.

The report noted the ongoing comprehensive work to bring the legislative, material, and technical base of the national science system into compliance with the requirements of the time.

The Honorable President Serdar Berdimuhamedov listened to the report and noted that effective work to develop the intellectual level of the population in the country must be continued. The Head of State signed the document approving the submitted new State Program and instructed the Vice-Premier to properly implement the tasks in this direction.
