Representatives of Oguz han Engineering and technology university of Turkmenistan participate in the CDIO 2026 International Conference

Representatives of Oguz han Engineering and technology university of Turkmenistan are participating in the 22nd International Conference of the “CDIO 2026”, which is being held at the University of Liverpool in Liverpool, United Kingdom, from June 22 to 25, 2026.

The Turkmen delegation includes Yslam Orazov, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Cyberphysical Systems at Oguz han Engineering and technology university of Turkmenistan, and Ahal Akgayev, Director of the “Oguz Han” Scientific and Technological Center of the university.

The main theme of the international conference is “Enhancing Student Professional Development: innovation in assessment and feedback”, focusing on the development of students’ professional competencies in engineering education, the implementation of modern assessment methods, and the improvement of effective feedback systems.

The CDIO international conference brings together educators, researchers, scientists, and students from different countries to exchange advanced experiences in engineering education, innovative teaching methods, scientific research, and the preparation of highly qualified engineers.

The CDIO 2026 International Conference brought together 157 representatives from 71 universities across 27 countries. The conference served as an important platform for exchanging best practices in engineering education, discussing innovative teaching methods, and strengthening international academic cooperation.

The CDIO (Conceive – Design – Implement – Operate) initiative is a global collaboration platform aimed at developing an innovative approach to engineering education. Its main goal is to equip students with practical engineering skills through the full cycle of planning, designing, implementing, and operating real-world systems, projects, and products. The initiative unites numerous leading higher education institutions around the world.

Within the framework of the international forum held at the University of Liverpool, scientists, professors, experts, and students from various countries discuss the future development of engineering education, the integration of digital technologies, project-based learning approaches, and innovative educational solutions.

During the conference, representatives of Oguz han Engineering and technology university of Turkmenistan will deliver presentations, sharing the university’s scientific activities, research in the field of cyber-physical systems, modern technologies, and experiences in the development of engineering education. They will also actively participate in cooperation with the broad academic community of CDIO.

The participation of Turkmen representatives in this international conference serves as an important step toward improving the university’s educational programs in accordance with global standards, advancing project-oriented learning methods, and expanding international academic cooperation.

It should be noted that in March 2023, Oguz han Engineering and technology university of Turkmenistan became the first higher education institution among the countries of Central Asia to be accepted as a full member of the CDIO organization. Since then, the university has actively participated in various international scientific, practical, and educational events organized within the framework of CDIO, continuing its efforts to develop innovative approaches in engineering education.
