Turkmen Agricultural University students undergo industrial training in Tashkent

The academic exchange program between the S.A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University and the "Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers" National Research University (TIIAME NRU) has reached a new milestone. Within the framework of the bilateral agreement, an educational and practical visit of Turkmen students to Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, was organized.

According to the program, students from the Faculty of Agricultural Mechanization of the Turkmen Agricultural University are undergoing industrial training at the host Uzbek university from June 22 to July 4 of this year to enhance their professional skills. Within this two-week internship, a rich educational, practical, and cultural program covering modern agrarian and water management innovations has been prepared for the youth.

The students from Turkmenistan attend lectures delivered by leading professors and instructors of the Uzbek university with great interest. The training focuses on contemporary fields such as the impact of global climate change on the land reclamation status of crops, calculating crop irrigation regimes using specific FAO methods, water-saving technologies, geographic information systems (GIS), and innovative remote sensing methods.

Furthermore, students conduct practical scientific research in the institute's modern laboratories. They independently perform laboratory assignments to test the efficiency of advanced GPS systems installed on agricultural machinery, measure the thermal conductivity of protective materials, and determine the physical and mechanical properties of various soil types.

To bridge theoretical knowledge with industrial practice, educational field trips to Uzbekistan's leading enterprises in the agro-industrial and water management sectors have been scheduled. During these visits, students will closely familiarize themselves with the operations of the "UzGIP" Design Institute, "AGROMAX TEXNIC" Company, the "School of Water Managers," and the Republican Center for Testing and Certification of Agricultural Machinery and Technologies.

In addition to the academic workflow, an extensive sightseeing itinerary has been implemented for the Turkmen youth, covering the beautiful historical sites, cultural centers, and museums of Tashkent. This international academic exchange program will not only further strengthen scientific and educational ties between the two neighboring countries but will also make a significant contribution to training highly qualified and experienced professionals for the regional agro-industrial sector in the future.
