Director of Institute of Chemistry of Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan awarded russian scientific honor

Director of the Institute of Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan (AST), Candidate of Chemical Sciences Hallymyrat Atayev, has been awarded a commemorative medal and badge "275 Years of Chemical Science in Russia." This was reported by the International Information Center of Turkmenistan.

The Turkmen scientist received this honorary award within the framework of the international scientific conference "Modern Chemical Physics at the Intersection of Physics, Chemistry and Biology," held in June 2026 in the Russian city of Chernogolovka.

This award was presented to Hallymyrat Atayev for his major contribution to the development of bilateral scientific and research ties, the strengthening of coordinated cooperation, as well as for elevating initiatives between the Academies of Sciences of Turkmenistan and Russia to a new level. The expert community highly valued the scientist's research work studying the physicochemical characteristics of multicomponent systems, as well as the phase states of water-salt solutions under conditions of extreme temperature and pressure.

This event is a vivid testament to Turkmenistan's active integration into the international scientific research space. Thus, the consistent development of relations with leading world centers, such as Lomonosov Moscow State University, the Institute of General and Inorganic Chemistry of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and specialized scientific institutions of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, opens up broad opportunities for Turkmen specialists to exchange experience and introduce innovative methods into production.

As noted at the Institute of Chemistry, this award is recognition of the high authority and experience of the national scientific school at the global level. The achievements of Turkmen scientists demonstrate the growing demand for their intellectual potential in addressing contemporary scientific and technical challenges of a global nature.
