LOVE FOR HERITAGE — LOVE FOR THE HOMELAND

As part of activities aimed at increasing schoolchildren’s interest in the country’s history and cultural heritage, students of Grades 11–12 from Secondary School No. 4 in Gyzylarbat District visited the Historical and Local History Museum in the city of Gyzylarbat. The educational visit was organised in accordance with the district education department’s programme for the 2026–2027 academic year.

During the visit, the students explored ancient historical artefacts, cultural and ethnographic exhibits reflecting the history, daily life, work and art of the people. Museum specialists and the history teacher provided information about the exhibits and their historical significance. Seeing authentic historical objects first-hand helped reinforce knowledge gained in the classroom and generated further interest in history.

Educational museum visits are an important part of extracurricular learning, enabling students to connect theoretical knowledge with first-hand experience of historical and cultural heritage. Such activities broaden students’ horizons, encourage greater interest in history and promote respect for national cultural values.
