At the initiative of the primary organization of the Women’s Union of the Yagshygeldi Kakaev International Oil and Gas University with the participation of university lecturers, a briefing meeting entitled “The Sanctity of Family and Women’s Beauty” was held for female students at the Historical and Local History Museum of Arkadag city, a guided tour of the museum was also organized
In the Era of the Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State, particular importance is attached to studying our national culture, centuries-old traditions and folk crafts, as well as promoting them widely among the younger generation. Handicrafts are not merely the result of human labour; they are also a valuable heritage reflecting the history, beauty, talent and spiritual world of our people.
During the briefing meeting, through an interactive question-and-answer session, the female students gained a deeper insight into traditional crafts inherited from Turkmen mothers and grandmothers and passed down from generation to generation, including the art of embroidery and carpet weaving.
Since ancient times, the Turkmen people have held the handicraft skills of girls and women in particularly high esteem. Such delicate crafts as embroidery, sewing, carpet weaving and decorative needlework have been passed down from mothers to daughters through generations and preserved to the present day. Today, it is equally important for female students and young women to continue these noble traditions, spend their free time productively, engage in sewing and various handicrafts, learn traditional national patterns and develop their creative abilities.
