The Third session of the Arab Economic and Cooperation Forum with the countries of Central Asia and the Republic of Azerbaijan was held

From April 29 to April 30, 2024, the Third session of the Arab Economic and Cooperation Forum with the countries of Central Asia and the Republic of Azerbaijan was held in Doha, State of Qatar. The delegation of Turkmenistan at the forum was led by Deputy Minister of finance and economy B.Yalakov.

Speaking at the forum, the Turkmen side noted the importance of implementing efforts to ensure sustainable economic development of Azerbaijan, Central Asian countries and Arab countries, and also emphasized that trade and industry, transport and energy, and the environment are priority areas for intensifying cooperation in various sectors of the economy.

During the forum, a meeting was held with the head of the department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar. During the conversation, the parties discussed the development of bilateral relations in the political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres, and drew attention to the importance of exchanging visits at the highest level. Along with this, it was stated that the development of bilateral relations is facilitated by holding days of culture of the two peoples and the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Qatar Commission.
