A meeting with the President of Hankuk University of Foreign Studies was held in Seoul

On March 27, 2024, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Korea Begench Durdyyev met with the President of Hankuk University of Foreign Studies Park Jeong Woon.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the issues of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Korea in the field of education, including the implementation of the Memorandum on mutual scientific-educational cooperation between Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages and the Hankuk University of Foreign Studies that was signed in 2019. Additionally, the sides exchanged views on the prospects for further development of bilateral partnership in the field of education and science.

The parties also discussed the possibilities of expanding cooperation between the Embassy and the University, such as organizing joint events within the framework of the Year of "Fount of Wisdom Magtymguly Fragi", which is devoted to the celebration of the 300th anniversary of birth of the great Turkmen poet and thinker Magtymguly Fragi.

During the meeting, the sides focused on the possibility of opening a faculty of the Turkmen language at the Hankuk University of Foreign Languages.
