Turkmenistan will hold events to mark the proclamation of the city of Anev as the cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2024

Turkmenistan is preparing to hold a launch ceremony for events to mark the proclamation of the city of Anav as the cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2024. As Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers M. Mammedova said at a meeting of the government of the country via video link, the ceremony is planned to be held in the «Türkmeniň ak öýi» building at the «Nowruz ýaýlasy» site in the Ak Bugday etrap of Ahal velayat.

As part of the ceremony, which will take place on the 26th of March, it is planned to organize a joint concert of vocalists, an exhibition of works by masters of fine and decorative arts, and works by photographers - representatives of the Turkic peoples.

It is expected that the leaders of the International Organization of Turkic Culture, the Organization of Turkic States, the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States, the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, the International Turkic Academy, relevant ministries of member countries and observers of TURKSOY, as well as creative and scientific delegations.

According to the Plan approved by the relevant Resolution of the President of Turkmenistan, various events will also be held during the Year of «The Fount of the Wisdom Magtymguly Fragi». Among them are creative meetings, the II Theater Festival of the TURKSOY member countries, and the International Film Festival «Gorkut ata».

Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed to ensure a high organizational level of the launch ceremony of events on the occasion of declaring the city of Anev the cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2024.
