Turkmenistan and France exchanged views on the current state of bilateral relations

On October 31, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan hosted a meeting between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Akhmet Gurbanov and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Turkmenistan, Mr. Philippe Merlin.

During the meeting, an interested exchange of views took place on the state of bilateral relations. Their consistent nature was emphasized, affecting the political and diplomatic, trade and economic partnership and the cultural and humanitarian sphere.

The positive experience of cooperation between the two countries on international platforms was also discussed.

The diplomats discussed issues of expanding trade and economic cooperation in such areas as energy, logistics, construction, agriculture and "green" technologies.

The parties also noted the effective cooperation in the field of speleology, archeology and the study of the French language.

At the end of the meeting, the interlocutors stressed their mutual readiness to further expand bilateral cooperation.
