Minister of Education of Turkmenistan Visits Urgench State University

Today, an official meeting was held at Urgench State University between Jumamyrat Gurbanberdiyev, Minister of Education of Turkmenistan, and Feruza Madrakhimova, Rector of the University.

During the meeting, which took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere, the historical ties of friendship, brotherhood, and good-neighborliness between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan were particularly emphasized. The participants also discussed prospects for further developing cooperation in higher education and science.

Rector Feruza Madrakhimova expressed the university’s readiness to attract international students, including young people from Turkmenistan, to study at the university, provide them with favorable conditions, expand scientific and academic ties with higher education institutions in Turkmenistan, and implement joint initiatives and projects.

It was also noted that students of Urgench State University actively participate every year in international subject Olympiads held in Turkmenistan. The parties exchanged views on further expanding cooperation and encouraging greater mutual participation of scholars and students from both countries in international scientific conferences, forums, and academic events.
