On October 29, in Vienna, the delegation of Turkmenistan took part in the OSCE Meeting to Review the Implementation of Commitments in the Field of Economic and Environmental Measurement (EEDIM). The main focus of the meeting was on sustainable water management methods and regional stability, with an emphasis on the implementation of technological solutions.
During the first session of the event, the representative of Turkmenistan Magtymguly Akmyradov raised important issues related to water resources management. He focused on the need for equitable distribution of water resources and proposed a framework for effective adaptation to climate change in the region.
In parallel with the main session, an event was held on water security issues, especially in Central Asia. This discussion highlighted the importance of joint efforts by the countries of the region to achieve sustainable development and protect water resources.
Participation in the EEDIM provided an opportunity for delegations to share experiences and best practices in the field of climate and water security. The event also strengthened the OSCE's role in addressing cross-border environmental issues, promoting more effective cooperation between States.
