The IV Congress of the Agrarian Party of Turkmenistan was held in Ashgabat

On November 4, the IV Congress of the Agrarian Party of Turkmenistan was held in the capital, where the priorities facing this political organization in the context of the implementation of large-scale state socio-economic programs in the era of the Revival of a new era of a powerful state were discussed.

On this occasion, numerous delegates of the congress – representatives of the domestic agricultural sector - gathered in Ashgabat from all regions of the country, the city of Arkadag. The forum was also attended by the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers in charge of the agro-industrial complex, heads of public organizations, ministries and sectoral departments, the media, and creative figures.

Before the congress, the participants got acquainted with the exhibition of achievements of agriculture in the country.

The report of the Chairman of the Central Council of the Agrarian Party of Turkmenistan was heard within the framework of the agenda of the forum, organizational issues were considered.

The Agrarian Party of Turkmenistan makes a great contribution to the rapid development of the agricultural sector, which is one of the basic segments of the national economy, as well as to stimulating dayhan to new labor achievements. The large-scale transformations in the agricultural sector initiated by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and successfully continued by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov are yielding significant results.

As it was emphasized, increasing the volume of production of various agricultural products, ensuring food abundance in the country is the most important priority of the policy pursued by Arkadagly Hero Serdar aimed at strengthening the economic power of Turkmenistan and improving the welfare of the people.

The special importance of the state support provided was noted, which is expressed in large investments aimed at technical re-equipment and modernization of the entire production infrastructure of the agro-industrial complex, the development of the chemical industry providing villagers with mineral fertilizers. Modern tractors, combines, seeders and other equipment are being purchased for the needs of the agricultural sector.

This year, the President of Turkmenistan signed Resolutions according to which, starting from the harvest of 2024, state procurement prices for wheat, cotton and rice have been increased in the country. These measures, becoming an effective incentive for further increasing the volume of agricultural production, will significantly affect the growth of the welfare of Daihans.

The Head of Turkmenistan pays great attention to the issues of rational use of land and water resources. In this regard, steps are being taken to irrigate and reclaim farmland, improve breeding and seed production.

As noted, an important step towards the further development of the food segment of the national economy, meeting the demand of the population for food in a wide range and high quality was the adoption of State programs for the production of import-substituting and increasing the volume of export products. In this context, it was emphasized that the successes achieved in this area are recognized by the United Nations, in particular, our country was awarded a special award by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) The United Nations for achievements in the field of food security.

The program for the development of the agricultural complex of Turkmenistan provides for the introduction of scientific achievements and digital technologies, world best practices, etc. into production. In this regard, the emphasis was placed on the active participation in this large-scale and multifaceted work of the members of the Agrarian Party, who in the field of public and political activity strive to make the maximum contribution to the positive changes being carried out in the regions of the country.

The organizational issue was considered at the congress – A.Akmammedov, who previously worked as deputy chairman of the Central Council of the Agrarian Party of Turkmenistan, was elected chairman of the Central Council of the Agrarian Party of Turkmenistan.

At the end of the forum, the participants adopted an Appeal to the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, in which they expressed gratitude for the large-scale transformations aimed at the progressive development of the state and society, assuring that they would do their best to bring the Motherland to new heights of progress and further modernization of the agro-industrial complex.
