The conference titled «Parliamentary diplomacy in the OSCE area: Dialogue as a tool for building bridges for a secure and peaceful future» began its work

Today in Ashgabat, the conference held jointly by the Mejlis of Turkmenistan and the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe Parliamentary Assembly titled «Parliamentary diplomacy in the OSCE area: Dialogue as a tool for building bridges for a secure and peaceful future» began its work.

The first such conference was held in Ashgabat on May 16, 2023.

The participation in the joint conference of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe Parliamentary Assembly, the heads of the Ashgabat Center of this organization, as well as representatives of parliaments from dozens of Central Asian and European countries, which further increases the importance of this international event.

The two-day long joint conference began its work with a general discussion and then it will be continued in three sessions. At the conference, parliamentarians exchanged views on the role of parliamentary diplomacy in maintaining international peace and security, preventing the negative impacts and challenges of climate change to strengthen the well-being of future generations, and increasing the role of youth and intergenerational solidarity in building a prosperous future.
