On November 26, 2024, a delegation of Turkmenistan headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Myakhri Byashimova took part in the fourteenth annual meeting of Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Central Asian countries.
The meeting was organized by the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (RCPCA) with the support of the Government of Uzbekistan.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Central Asian countries, representatives of the UN Assistance Mission in Afghanistan, the UN Department of Political Affairs and Peacebuilding, as well as the RCPCA.
During the meeting, the parties discussed topical issues on the regional and international agenda, and considered prospects for the development of regional cooperation in Central Asia.
There was also an exchange of views on events and trends affecting peace and security in Central Asia. In this context, it was emphasized that such meetings play a crucial role, allowing timely response to emerging risks and adapting joint measures to new challenges.
