An international conference entitled “Sustainable energy for environmental protection. Studying international best practice” was held at the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan within the framework of the plan agreed upon by the Delegation of the European Union to Turkmenistan’ and the Government of Turkmenistan for 2024.
Based on the initiatives of the National Leader of the Turkmen people Hero-Arkadag, under the leadership of our Esteemed President Arkadagly Hero Serdar, ample opportunities are being created for the development of the electric power industry, which is one of the main sectors of the country’s economy. Currently, the study of obtaining energy, produced from renewable energy sources, which is an integral part of the electric power industry, taking into account the climatic conditions of the country, is being reflected. In this regard, an international conference was held at the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan, the purpose of which was to study the achieved results in the field of energy saving in leading European countries and increase the share of renewable energy sources, improve the professional level of teaching staff and researchers, for the joint implementation of planned work in future. The conference began with a performance by the musical group of the institute “Kuvvat”, which performed on the central platform of the main administrative building in front of the conference participants. Next, the conference participants got acquainted with the exhibition of scientific works organized in the main administrative building.
International experts from Poland, Georgia, the Republic of Latvia and the Republic of Kazakhstan took part in the international conference. In the course of the international conference, presentations were made on topics such as: “Best regional practices for the development of Green Energy”; “Renewable energy sources in green energy production: opportunities and challenges”; “Green hydrogen is the fuel of the future”; “Climate Change and Green Energy”; “The influence of hydrogen on ecology and the environment”; “Green energy: solar thermal systems”; as well as conditions and possibilities for issuing a “green” certificate to buildings under construction and planned for construction, features of the introduction of high energy efficient technologies in newly constructed buildings were discussed. During the presentations, the audience showed great interest and exchanged opinions and questions on this topic. In the afternoon, international experts conducted a training seminar on the topic “Stable Energy Connectivity in Central Asia” in order to improve the professional level of teaching staff and researchers at the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan. Then the participants were awarded certificates. At the end of the conference, the participants expressed their boundless gratitude to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero-Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar, for all created opportunities.
