Relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Belarus are developing

On January 6, 2025, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Turkmenistan Stanislav Chepurny who presented copies of his credentials.

The Minister congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment to the responsible post and expressed readiness of the Turkmen side to assist and support him in his diplomatic work.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the prospects of developing bilateral relations in political-diplomatic, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres.

It was emphasized that cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Belarus is developing on the basis of the principles of reciprocal respect, equality and mutually beneficial partnership.

Special attention was paid to the collaboration between the two countries on the platforms of regional and international structures. In particular, the sides expressed readiness to continue the practice of mutual support of initiatives within the UN framework.
