THE TEXTBOOK “AUTOMATION OF INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGICAL PROCESSES. II” PUBLISHED FOR HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS
Modern production processes are characterised by a wide variety of interconnections between individual operations and the need for their precise and consistent execution. Continuous and batch production, as well as the high speed of certain operations, require the time needed to switch from one operation to another to be reduced. This, in turn, increases the requirements for rapid response, accuracy and objectivity in control, which cannot be achieved through human effort alone.
These issues are addressed in the new textbook “Automation of Industrial Technological Processes”, prepared by the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering and published for higher education institutions (authors: B.Mammedov and P.Yalkapov. — Ashgabat: Ylym, 2026. — 432 pp.). The textbook covers the fundamentals of production and technological process control, their structural diagrams, and the types and specific features of technological processes. The publication consists of an introduction, six sections, eleven chapters and a list of references.
The textbook examines the automation of various industries, including chemical fertiliser production, construction, the oil and gas industry, the food industry and heat supply. Functional automation diagrams for these industries are presented systematically. The publication also demonstrates the application of digital systems in production and in the automation of technological processes.
The textbook can be used not only by students of the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction, but also by students of the International University of Oil and Gas named after Yagshygeldi Kakayev, the Institute of Engineering and Transport Communications of Turkmenistan, the Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of Turkmenistan, the S. A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University, the Turkmen Agricultural Institute the International university of industrialists and entrepreneurs, the Oguz Han Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan, and the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan.
