TURKMEN STUDENTS ARE WINNERS AT INTERNATIONAL FINANCIAL SECURITY OLYMPIAD

Turkmen students were named winners and prize recipients at the Sixth International Olympiad on Financial Security.

Under the wise leadership of the esteemed President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, our Hero Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Turkmenistan places particular emphasis on modernising its education system and ensuring that young people have every opportunity to receive a modern education and demonstrate their talents internationally. A clear example of these efforts was the excellent performance of Turkmen students at a prestigious international competition during celebrations marking the 35th anniversary of the country’s independence, in the year themed “Independent Neutral Turkmenistan – the Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses”.

The final round of the Sixth International Olympiad on Financial Security took place from 27 September to 2 October at Siberian Federal University in Krasnoyarsk, the Russian Federation. The competition brought together around 700 school pupils and university students from more than 40 countries. Its main theme was the use of artificial intelligence in financial security and the risks associated with it.

Ten students from seven higher education institutions in Turkmenistan competed in international relations, law, economics and information security. Two were named winners, while six received prizes.

International relations

Dawud Zakirjanovich Abdykadyrov, a student at Magtymguly Turkmen State University, and Sahydowlet Agadurdyyevich Hummetjumeyev, a student at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, received prizes.

Law

Rejep Bagtyyarovich Rejepov, a student at Magtymguly Turkmen State University, and Guljahan Jumamyradovna Gurbanova, a student at the International University for the Humanities and Development, were declared winners of the Olympiad.

Economics

Shukur Esedovich Esedov, a student at the International horse breeding academy named after Aba Annayev; Dawut Merdanovich Gezerov, a student at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan; and Hanmuhammet Baýramovich Tuwakov, a student at the Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management, received prizes. Bahar Bekmyradovna Bekiyeva, also a student at the Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management, performed well in the final round.

Information security

Begnazar Muhammetnazarovich Begnazarov, a student at the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction, received a prize. Jumageldi Arslanovich Serdarov, a student at the Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of Turkmenistan, also demonstrated his knowledge and skills in the final round.

Protecting financial resources and data against cyber threats is essential to the sustainable development of countries in the digital age. At the initiative of Hero Arkadagly Serdar, Turkmenistan is carrying out extensive work to develop its digital economy, ensure cybersecurity and train highly qualified specialists in these fields. The students’ achievements at the international Olympiad fully confirm the effectiveness of this policy.

During the Olympiad, the Turkmen participants exchanged experiences and strengthened friendships with peers from around the world. They also spoke about neutral Turkmenistan’s peaceful policy and the country’s achievements. The students emphasised that their success was above all the result of the wide range of opportunities available to young people and the dedicated work of their teachers.

The winners and prize recipients expressed heartfelt gratitude to the esteemed President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Hero Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for their great care and support for young people. They said they would apply their knowledge to the prosperity of their beloved homeland and strive to further improve its prestige on the international stage.
