NEW TEXTBOOK PUBLISHED FOR HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS

A new textbook entitled Radiology has been published in Turkmenistan for students of the country’s medical higher education institutions. The book was written by M. Jumayev, H. Hydyrow and T. Durdyyeva and published by the Turkmen State Publishing Service in 2026, ahead of the Day of Healthcare and Medical Industry Workers.

The textbook presents information on modern advances in radiology and X-ray diagnostics, as well as innovative methods developed through scientific and technological progress. Particular attention is given to the use of X-rays in the treatment of diseases and pathological conditions. The book also includes images of equipment used in radiation therapy and information on its application.

The publication aims to support the training of qualified healthcare professionals and enhance the knowledge and practical skills of medical students and practising specialists in diagnostic radiology. Its content is intended to contribute to the early detection of diseases and the delivery of effective treatment.
