Minister of Education of Turkmenistan Addresses the International Education Forum in Tashkent

On October 28, 2026, the International Education Forum "Central Asia — A New Space of Education, Science, and Innovation" was convened in Tashkent. The Minister of Education of Turkmenistan, Dzhumamyrat Gurbangeldiyev, attended the opening and delivered welcoming remarks.

The Minister commended the Uzbek hosts and emphasized the role of education and science in regional progress. The speech outlined Turkmenistan’s initiatives led by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, including the Higher Education Strategy for 2026–2052, national youth programs, and the proposal to establish international youth research and education clusters.

Highlighting dynamic Turkmen-Uzbek ties formalized by recent high-level agreements in Avaza, Minister reaffirmed Turkmenistan’s dedication to advancing academic mobility, shared innovation, and closer partnership across Central Asia.
