Delegation of the Myrat Garryyev State Medical University of Turkmenistan Participated in the World Summit and International Congress in the Republic of Uzbekistan
From October 20 to 23, 2026, the delegation of the Myrat Garryyev State Medical University of Turkmenistan attended the World Summit titled "Investing in Children's Wellbeing: A Path Toward Sustainable and Equitable Growth for Future Generations" and the II International Congress on Pediatric Oncology and Hematology, held at the "Silk Road Samarkand" Congress Center in Samarkand, Republic of Uzbekistan.
At the congress, scientific presentations by experts from the World Health Organization and leading global research centers were delivered on treating pediatric oncological diseases, implementing precision oncology, gene therapy, and stem cell transplantation. The delegation actively participated in the discussions.
On the second day of the visit, our university delegation visited Samarkand State Medical University. During the meeting with the Rector and executive leadership of the university, a mutually beneficial agreement was reached to exchange experience in medical education and science, establish academic mobility for faculty and students, and conduct joint scientific research. Our delegation also toured the departments, modern laboratories, and historical museum of the university.
