Despite advanced technologies, there is not a single computer in the world that can surpass the human brain. Scientists have been trying to create an artificial organ for years. It seems that American specialists managed to get a little closer to the goal.
Scientists from Indiana University (USA) combined natural human brain tissue with electronic components and grew Brainoware - a biocomputer that functions like a real brain.
Brainoware performs two tasks simultaneously: computing (like a processor) and storage (like permanent and RAM). The artificial brain is already capable of solving mathematical problems and recognizing speech.
Thus, scientists provided Brainoware with 240 audio recordings in different languages and asked the biocomputer to find the right one - in just two days the device learned to recognize voices with 78% accuracy.
