UNIVERSITY STUDENTS SHOWED EXCELLENT RESULTS IN THE CYBER SECURITY HACKATHON

In information security competitions organized and conducted by the Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan. Oguz Khan, 25 teams representing 15 leading universities of the country took part.

In accordance with the theme of the hackathon “Development of a platform based on technical work,” the main task of the participants was to complete technical tasks, including the creation of secure digital services. Students also analyzed the vulnerabilities of information systems and websites.

The first three places in terms of points scored were taken by the teams of the Engineering and Technological University of Turkmenistan. Oguz Khan and the Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics.

The second positions are occupied by students of the International University of Humanities and Development, the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering, the Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Military Institute of the Ministry of Defense of Turkmenistan named after. S. Turkmenbashi the Great.

The top three were closed by representatives of the International University of Oil and Gas. Yagshigeldy Kakaev, Institute of Engineering, Technical and Transport Communications of Turkmenistan, Turkmen State University named after. Information security is an important part of the digital economy. Therefore, specialists in this field are necessary and in demand both for government agencies and for commercial companies. And every year this importance will only increase.

Thanks to the hackathon, students gained valuable experience in solving practical computer security problems and developed professional and team skills.
