International Tournament in National and Belt Wrestling

In the Revival of a New Era of a Powerful State, our Homeland — a land of health and spiritual upliftment — under the leadership of the Honorable President and the Hero Arkadag, is seeing large-scale, state-level support for the development of high-performance sports, mass physical culture and health initiatives, as well as the widespread implementation of principles of well-being and spiritual growth.

The grand initiatives launched by Hero Arkadag and successfully continued in this new era by Hero Arkadagly Serdar are elevating our country’s international sports reputation to new heights. Turkmenistan, now recognized as a nation capable of hosting major global sports competitions, is turning the organization of various events — including international-level tournaments — into a practical expression of our national sports strategy.

Comprehensive efforts are being undertaken in our independent, permanently neutral country to develop an advanced sports system, raise physically and spiritually healthy generations, promote the Olympic movement, strengthen international cooperation in this area, identify and support young talents, and create favorable conditions for training athletes who can perform at the international level.

The national and belt “Alysh” wrestling are forms of competition that reflect the heroic spirit, bravery, and sporting culture of the Turkmen people and their friendly nations, rooted in ancient traditions. These styles are not just sports competitions, but also an inseparable part of the cultural heritage of nations, celebrating noble values passed down through generations.

This international tournament provides an opportunity to test the skills of wrestlers, strengthen friendly cooperation, and give fresh impetus to the development of wrestling. Turkmen wrestlers are recognized worldwide for their talents and spread both wrestling mastery and the Turkmen spirit to the world. Raising the flag of our Homeland through sporting victories and promoting Turkmen sports on the global stage is a sacred duty of every Turkmen athlete.
