MODERN TECHNOLOGIES ARE BEING INTRODUCED INTO THE EDUCATION SYSTEM
The Balkanabat Oil Secondary Vocational School of the State Concern “Türkmennebit” is one of the educational institutions that trains highly qualified, advanced-level specialists for the country’s oil and gas industry. In recent years, systematic and extensive efforts have been made at the school to introduce the latest digital and innovative technologies into the education system.
In accordance with the Concept for the Development of the Digital Education System in the country, the Moodle learning management system, the “eTalyp” application, an electronic library, an electronic document management system, and electronic registration systems have been actively implemented through the school’s official website, balkanabatnohom.edu.tm. This digital infrastructure provides students with extensive opportunities to regularly study audio and video lessons prepared for their academic subjects, while enabling teachers to monitor the learning process and organize examinations digitally. As a result of the modernization of the institution’s material and technical facilities, classrooms are now fully equipped with video projectors, high-speed internet access, and internal local area networks.
A 3D printing technology facility has been established at the school’s Scientific and Creative Centre to further advance modern scientific research. Teachers and students regularly use this advanced equipment in their research and project work, gaining practical experience in producing physical three-dimensional models of industrial equipment and complex components. Particular attention is being paid to the gradual introduction of virtual reality (VR) headsets into the learning process, making virtual tours possible. These enable students to explore the working conditions and occupational safety regulations of actual industrial sites in a three-dimensional virtual environment without having to visit the facilities in person for practical training. The high level of digital technology use by the school’s teachers and students contributes to their success in national subject competitions and scientific project contests, while also helping the institution achieve high positions in the overall rankings.
We express our profound gratitude to Hero Arkadag, the National Leader of the Turkmen People, and to our Esteemed President of Turkmenistan, Arkadagly Hero Serdar, for providing teachers and students with extensive opportunities to study the world’s advanced technologies and introduce them into the education system.
